This artwork is by Jami Lou , one of my closest friends and a fellow student here at my school. Her single mother is currently working her bootay off (a.k.a two full time jobs) to keep Jami here and to allow her to flower as an artist. However, at this point, that may not be enough. Jami deserves to be here as much as I do and I would be broken hearted to see her leave. If you’re interested in more of her work, you can see it by going to her blog.
She has also promised (for those who include their address in their donation forms) some sort of personalized thank you as well as a piece of her work.
For those of you who have seen a bit of my work as well, Jami and I are collaborating in order to create a book mixed with both visual pieces and writing. GIVE US THE CHANCE TO DO THIS. Collaborating across far distances is very very difficult.
Even if you can only donate a small amount of money, this will help greatly. And if you cannot, be sure to reblog this so that others can help Jami continue to grow in an environment that nurtures the arts.
If you would like to donate, click here. Please pass this on.
